Executive
Coaching
Description
The executive coach is an independent, objective advisor who counsels senior managers in areas of learning and behavior change. The
coach focuses on the leader’s personal development and guides the executive to realize his or her potential by honing the leader’s skillsets and providing direct feedback that is rarely communicated by superiors, peers, or subordinates. The process aids the
individual in making initial, momentum-building changes while developing skills to address more entrenched habits and styles changes.
Objectives
The coaching process will guide participants to:
Build a personal vision that is the motivation for personal learning and change.
Gather and present 360º feedback to provide the executive with a clear picture of other’s perceptions of his/her leadership
strengths and areas for change.
Develop an individualized learning plan that leverages strengths and addresses areas for improvement.
Anchor and sustain behavior changes through self-mastery.
Target Audience
Executives and managers
Learning Method
The executive coach works with the individual to develop a vision of growth and change. The training consists of a 360º feedback
process to build awareness of personal strengths as well as undesirable habits and skill gaps. We also conduct individual coaching
sessions to provide training and counseling to sustain progress and maintain the commitment to self-mastery. Periodic feedback during
and after coaching continues to feed the momentum toward change.
Duration
Face-to-face coaching sessions may range from four to ten days. Telephone consultation occurs two to three times per month over the
course of the engagement.
